WASHINGTON, Oct 20, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - President Joe Biden said Thursday the stakes are too great for the United States to abandon Ukraine and Israel, saying the US remains a global guardian for freedom.

"To put all that at risk, if we walk away from Ukraine, if we turn our backs on Israel -- it's just not worth it," Biden said. "America is a beacon to the world. Still. Still."
