DHAKA, Oct 21, 2023 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Patuakhali-1 constituency MP, former state minister for Religious Affairs and Patuakhali district unit Awami League president Advocate Shahjahan Mia.

In a message of condolence, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, said an official release.

According to family sources, Shahjahan Mia breathed his last around 6 am today while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital in the capital.
