KHULNA, Oct 21, 2023 (BSS) - Planning Minister M A Mannan has said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the architect of the country's development as Bangladesh emerged as a role model of progress in the world under her dynamic leadership.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the architect of the country's development as Bangladesh emerged as a role model of progress in the world under her dynamic leadership," he made the remark at a development meeting organized by 300 acres of crop land prevention committee at Baniashana Bazar under Dakop upazila in the district as the chief guest on Friday.

Narrating country's numerous development, the planning minister said the incumbent government has constructed infrastructural development including thousands kilometer of roads, schools, colleges and hospitals led by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said different sizes of bridges are being built in the country with a view to removing bamboo-pools of the rural area. Electricity has been reached the remote corner of every village during the last fifteen years, Mannan added.

 He said at least 50,000 landless people are now living in semi pucca building, built by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
 
Terming Bangladesh is now self dependent in food, the chief guest said country's economic development to be continued without destroying crop lands.

The government has ensured education allowances in each month for all primary students, poverty stricken secondary and higher secondary students, meritorious and under privileged students, he said, adding that Bangladesh will be prosperous and developed country by 2041, if present development spree to continue.

Whip Panchanan Biswas, advocate Gloria Jharna Sarkar, MP, ex-secretary Dr Nomita Halder and president of Dakop upazila Awami League addressed the meeting as special guests with chairman of Baniashanta Union Parishad Sudeb Krisna Roy in the chair.

Later, the planning Minister visited 'Jhulonto' village of Sutarkhali union, inaugurated Loudob ferry ghat and exchanged views with local AL leaders and activists.
