SANGSAD BHABAN, Oct 25, 2023 (BSS) - Road Transport and Bridges Minister
Obaidul Quader today said a total of 1131 bridges have been constructed in
the country in the last three terms of the government.

"So far, 1131 big and small bridges have been constructed in the country
during the past three tenure of the present government," he said.

The minister said this while responding to a query which was tabled and
raised by treasury bench lawmaker Kazim Uddin Ahammed of Mymensingh-11 at the
question-answer session at the Jatiya Sangsad here.

Of these constructed bridges, 20 bridges were over 500 meters and 165 bridges
were constructed between the lengths of 100 to 500 meters. Constructions of
more 20 bridges are under way in the current fiscal year.
