NAOGAON, Oct 27, 2023 (BSS) - Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today

said teachers' role is very important for turning new generation into smart
citizen.

"Whenever Sheikh Hasina assumed power, education system has seen development
alongside the overall progress in the country. Teachers' need to present the
education philosophy of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman, to their students," he said.

The food minister said this while addressing a views exchange meeting on
Niamatpur Bohumukhi Model High School premises this noon, an official release
said here today.

"Teachers' played major role in our independence movement. They would play
similar role in building smart Bangladesh. Teachers need to provide moral
education to their students alongside the digital literacy," he added.

Presided over by Niamatpur upazila nirbahi officer Imtiaj Morshed, the
program was also addressed by upazila parishad chairman Md Farid Ahammed,
education officer Md Lutfur Rahman, Principal Md Momtaj Hossain Mondal and
upazila Awami League president Abul Kalam Azad, among others.
