Home minister condemns BNP's mayhem on Oct 28

SANGSAD BHABAN, Oct 29, 2023 (BSS) - Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today condemned the atrocities committed by the BNP in the name of grant rally in the capital on Saturday as the violence also killed a police man and set fire on 26 vehicles across the country.
 
The Home Minister made this statement while addressing in the Jatiya Sangsad under section 300 of the rules of procedure on Sunday with Deputy Speaker Shamsul Huq Tuku in the chair.
 
"BNP's such violence is totally politically motivated ...as they have done this terrorist activities in the name of their political programme preferring on an unconstitutional issue", said the minister in his statement.
 
Terming the mayhem as a part of their pre-planned activities, he said the BNP activists have vandalized CCTV cameras and the residence of the Chief Justice which is reiteration of their violence happened in 2014.
 
"It is unfortunate that BNP activists have killed a police man -- Amirul Islam Parvej -- son of a freedom fighter, who was first beaten and then chopped by lethal weapon to ensure his death", he told the parliament.
 
Even they have set fire on the ambulance at Rajarbagh police hospital and the vehicles stationed at the Diploma Engineers Institute. The home minister also showed several pictures in the house which were carried the evidence of the atrocities unleashed by the BNP.
