DHAKA, Oct 31, 2023 (BSS) - Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD) president Hasanul Haque Inu, MP, today called for keeping the terrorist clique Jamaat-BNP out of power to complete the unfinished works those are imbued with the spirit of War of Liberation.
"The Jamaat-BNP terrorist gang must be prevented and kept out of power to complete the unfinished work of the spirit of the War of Liberation," he said.
Inu came up with the call while chairing a discussion organized by JaSaD central committee at the Shaheed Colonel Taher auditorium here marking JaSaD's 51st founding anniversary.
JaSaD Jasad joint general secretary Naimul Ahsan Jewel conducted the discussion.
Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and spokesperson of the 14-party alliance Amir Hossain Amu, MP, sent a written statement as an honored guest at the discussion.
Inu said that elections should be held on time to continue the constitutional process.
Bangladesh Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, MP, JaSad General Secretary Shirin Akhter, MP, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Gonotantri Party President Dr Shahadat Hossain and Bangladesh Somajtantrik Dal Convener Rezaur Rashid Chowdhury Khaja also spoke, among others.
In a written statement, Amir Hossain Amu urged everyone to unite and resist all local and foreign conspiracies and continue the democratic march for development and peace under the leadership of leader Sheikh Hasina.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashed Khan Menon said that when the rampage (destructive activities) carried out by BNP-Jamaat on October 28 last was shown to the foreign ambassadors, they did not say anything.
There is much to be said for not saying anything, he said, adding that they will not let the authority concerned to hold the general election in a free and fair manner easily.
