DHAKA, Nov 2, 2023 (BSS) - Leaders and activists of Awami League and its associate bodies will remain alert against BNP-Jamaat's any kind of programme centering upcoming general polls in the country.
The AL leaders and actives were remained alert in city's entrances and deferent areas on third day amid the ongoing BNP-Jamaat's 72-hour blockade today.
BNP-Jamaat started three days blockade programme across the country on Tuesday last.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul
Quader had earlier urged the party leaders and activists to hold peaceful
programmes against the three-day nationwide blockade enforced by the BNP and Jamaat.
He urged to the AL leaders and activist will resist any kind of sabotage activities of the BNP-Jamaat.
Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies today
brought out protest processions and rallies in different areas in the city against the BNP-Jamaat's 72-hour blockade, terror and sabotage activities.
The AL Senior leaders are staying alert against BNP's blockade programme at the central office of AL at Bangabandhu Avenue and AL President Sheikh
Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi.
Dhaka city north unit of AL's 32 No ward stayed alert in city`s Town Hall and Lalmatia area.
Dhaka city south AL, Awami Jubo League, Swechchhasebak League were stayed alert in front of central office of AL in city's Bangabandhu.
Dhaka city south Swechchhasebak League brought out protest procession and rally in Jatrabari area it paraded different streets.
Dhaka City South AL and Awami Jubo League brought out protest processions in the city's Bangabandhu Avenue.
Dhaka City North Unit AL brought out another protest procession in the city's Mirpur area.
Awami League, Dhaka city south and north unit of AL, Jubo League, Chhatra
League, Swechchhasebak League, Mohila Awami League, Jubo Mohila League,
Krishak League, Tati League and Awami Ainjibi Parishad as well as different wards, Thanas AL leaders and workers brought out the protest rallies in the city.
Besides, the AL leaders and activists and its associate bodies held protest processions in different areas including Hazaribugh, Lalbagh, Old Dhaka, Farmgate, Uttara, Mirpur, Gabtoli, Malibagh, Jatrabari, Azimpur, Shahbagh,Demra, Sultana Kamal Bridge, Amin Bazar, Babu Bazar, Abdullahpur, Singh Board, Mohammadpur, Shamoli, Panthppath and Gabtoli areas in the capital.
Dhaka city south AL President Abu Ahmed Mannafi and its general secretary Humayun Kabir were present in city's Bangabandhu Avenue.
AL Dhaka city north unit President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and its General
Secretary S.M. Mannan Kochi with other leaders and activists were also
present in Mirpur different areas of the city.
