The CEC made the comments while addressing the training programme of the field level administrative officials at Agargaon here today.
A total of 114 filed level officials, including divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners (DCs), superintendent of Police (SPs) and police commissioners of 32 districts participated in the two-day residential training programme.
"Only the CEC is not enough to hold a peaceful election, but you [the field administrations] can do it easily", he told the function arranged by the Elections Training Institute (ETI).
Earlier, field level officials, including the deputy commissioners, police supers, divisional commissioners and divisional police commissioners of other districts also took part in the first phase of the training programme on October 14-15.
Giving instructions to the DCs and SPs to be strict for the sake of holding a free, fair and organized election, the CEC said. "You [the DCs and SPs] will perform your duties in such way so that the election would be held in free, fair and peaceful manner."
