DHAKA, Nov 12, 2023 (BSS) - One passenger bus was set on fire in Nabisco area of Tejgaon in the city tonight amid the two-day blockade imposed by BNP-Jamaat and its like-minded political parties.

Fire service and civil defence's media cell officer in charge Mohammad Shahjahan Shikder confirmed the matter.

Some miscreants set a bus on fire at Nabisco area at 8.20 pm, he said, adding that two units of Tejgaon fire station doused the fire.

According to Fire Service and Civil Defence officials, two more buses were set on fire earlier today.

A bus of Prajapati Paribahan was set on fire at 1.13pm in the city's Mirpur-10 area while another bus was torched around 6.37pm at Siddirganj in Narayangaj.

Fire fighters doused both of the fires.
