DHAKA, Nov 13, 2023 - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested Mamun Majumder, 35, assistant organizing secretary of the central committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), in the act of setting a passenger bus on fire in city's Abdullahpur area.

ASP M Parvez Rana, Senior Assistant Director of (RAB-1), confirmed the matter to BSS saying that he was caught red-handed while igniting a Mirpur bound bus in front of Market Polwel near Abdullahpur bus stand in Uttara.

According to RAB, seven people were arrested from different places of the capital till Sunday night for arson and sabotage, amid the blockade called by BNP and like-minded parties.
