DHAKA, Nov 11, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said the expectations of people have been fulfilled following announcement of the schedule of next general elections.

He made the remarks at a press conference at the Awami League President's Dhanmondi political office here this evening after announcement of the election schedule.

Quader said the schedule of the next parliament elections has been announced and today is a very happy day for democracy-loving Bengalees.
 
Welcoming the polls schedule, he said: "It is a historic day. Through this, the holy wish of the people has been reflected. People's expectations have been met. We, on behalf of Awami league, welcome it".

The AL general secretary said the meeting of the AL's National Election Management Committee will be held on November 17 next and at the same time, aspirant candidates can collect nomination form.
