ANTANANARIVO, Nov 16, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Polls opened in Madagascar's presidential election on Thursday, AFP journalists witnessed, with Andry Rajoelina seeking reelection and 10 opposition candidates calling for a boycott.

Rajoelina has expressed confidence that he will win in the first round of voting, and it remains to be seen if voters who favour the opposition will decide to stay home.
