DHAKA, Nov 16, 2023 (BSS) - Zafar Alam Chowdhury, Cox's Bazar District unit of Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member and former President of Teknaf Upazila unit of AL, passed away this morning at the age of 88.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Cox's Bazar.

He left behind two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Zafar.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
