DHAKA, Nov 17, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AL`s Jatiya Committee Member and valiant freedom fighter Ad. Haris Uddin Ahmed. 

In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, said a press release signed by AL office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua. 

A former President of Gazipur District Chhatra League and Jubo League, Haris Uddin was 74. 

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a city Hospital this morning. 

He left behind wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
