Goods, passenger movement to remain normal amid BNP's hartal: Enayetullah

DHAKA, Nov 18, 2023 (BSS) - Secretary General of Bangladesh Transport Owners' Association Khandaker Enayetullah today said that movement of goods and passengers will remain normal in the country ignoring hartal-blockade called by BNP-Jamaat from tomorrow.

"Disregarding the hartal-blockade called by BNP-Jamaat from tomorrow, movement of goods and passengers will remain normal across the country, including Dhaka," he said.

Khandaker Enayetullah said this at an extended meeting of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners' Association held at the central office of the association at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue here with Association President Mashiur Rahman Ranga, MP, in the chair, a press release said.

BNP-Jamaat terrorists set fire to 120 vehicles and vandalized 225 more across the country, including Dhaka, in the name of rally, hartal and blockade, said Enayetullah, adding that vehicle-vandalism and arson-attack in the name of movement cannot be tolerated in any way.
He said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has assured of paying compensation for the vehicles damaged amid strike-blockade like in the past.
