DHAKA, Nov 18, 2023 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) has decided to participate in the 12th parliamentary elections slated for January 7 in alliance and alone.

Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua disclosed this to journalists at the party’s central office at Bangabandhu Avenue today.

He said, “We have sent a letter to the Election Commission in this regard.”

It has been mentioned in the letter that the AL will participate in the polls in two ways - alone and in alliance.

“In which constituencies the AL will nominate candidates in alliance and alone in which constituencies will be announced on the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers on December 17,” he added.
