DINAJPUR, Sept 7, 2021 (BSS) - Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Iqbalur Rahim, MP, today said that education is the backbone of a nation as no nation can prosper without education so the new generation must be enlightened with knowledge.
He said this while inaugurating the construction works of three school buildings of education engineering department in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila this afternoon.
Iqbalur Rahim said there was no alternative to the development of education to build a developed nation and to survive in the competitive world. That's why Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given top priority to education to prepare the new generation based on modern education system, he added.
"The government wants to take Bangladesh to the developed world. The country has moved forward today. They need to be educated based on science and technology," he said.
Dinajpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Imdad Sarkar, Vice Chairman Rabiul Islam Sohag, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mortuza Al Mueed, Executive Engineer of Education Engineering Department Shahinur Islam, Deputy Assistant Engineer Abdul Awal and City Awami League Acting President Md. Raihan Kabir Sohag, among others, were present on the occasion.
