DHAKA, Nov 27, 2023 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) has extended the
application deadline for local observers to observe the 12th Jatiya Sangsad
elections to December 10 next.

The deadline for application of local observers was November 25, according to
a letter of EC signed today by its director (public relation) Md Shafiqul
Islam.

Earlier, the Commission asked 67 registered local observer agencies to apply
to the EC within November 25, mentioning the names of constituencies where
they are interested to observe in the next general elections.

Now the agencies which are yet to apply for monitoring the polls can apply
till 4 pm of December 10 next, the EC letter said.
