Expatriate Bangladeshis seek govt. support to bring back Bangabandhu killers

DHAKA, Nov 29, 2023 (BSS) - 'Bangabandhur Khuni Polatak Asamider Ferot Anar Sangram Committee', a platform of expatriate Bangladeshis, in a press conference sought the government's cooperation in bringing back Bangabandhu's fugitive killers to Bangladesh to execute the court verdict.

The press meet was arranged in a private auditorium in the capital's Bangla Motor area while the platform's convener and media advisor of German unit of Awami League Khan Litton read out the written statement.

The organization's joint convener and European Awami League's women secretary and former commissioner of Rome City Corporation Hosne Ara Kibria, European Awami League coordination committee member secretary and Danish expatriate Bangladeshi Mohammad Ali Molla Lincoln, All European Awami League founding organizing secretary and top community leader GM Kibria, Sheikh Kamal's friend and valiant freedom fighter KM Nasir Uddin also spoke.

Bangabandhu Memorial Museum curator NI Khan and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar Nazrul Islam addressed the press meet joining it virtually.

Litton said they held protest rallies and seminars in different countries of the world to create public opinion to bring back killers. They also placed their demands to the UN and the EU seeking the forum's aid in bringing back the fugitive killers, he said.
 
He said that they have a plan to lodge a case in the international court to this end.
