DHAKA, Dec 12, 2023 (BSS) - The Japan-Bangladesh IT Association (JBITA) today hosted a groundbreaking Bangladesh IT Engineers Summit in Tokyo, Japan.
Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) organized the event that brought together over 150 participants from the IT industry keen on Bangladesh, according a press release received here.
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak virtually addressed the summit as the guest of honor and presented a keynote paper that emphasized on the importance of international cooperation in the IT industry and highlighted the growing partnership between Bangladesh and Japan.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kaicom Solutions and President of JBITA Das Anjan deliver the welcome address while Bangladesh Ambassador in Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed delivered opening remarks at the event.
Chief Representative of JETRO Bangladesh Yuji Ando and Director and Head of BASIS Japan Desk AKM Ahmedul Islam BABU presented separate presentations at the function while Managing Director and CEO of Startup Bangladesh Limited Sami Ahmed spoke at the event, among others.
Besides, a panel discussion was held at the discussion with the participation of noted IT professionals.
COO of KK Destiny Rejwanur Kabir delivered the closing remarks at the function, which was followed by a dinner.
