DHAKA, Dec 13, 2023 (BSS) - A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held tomorrow to review the information on the appearance of the new moon of the holy Jamadi-us-Sani month here.

The meeting will be held at Islamic Foundation (IF) conference room of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque around 5:30pm, an official release said here today.

State Minister for Religious Affairs M Faridul Haq Khan will preside over the meeting.

The committee has requested people to inform Deputy Commissioner or Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of the concerned district or upazila over the following telephone and fax numbers if they see the Jamadi-us-Sani moon anywhere in Bangladesh sky.
