SYLHET, Dec 13, 2023 (BSS)- A divisional representative meeting of Sylhet division Awami League was held today to make success of AL President Sheikh Hasina's visit to Sylhet on December 20 ahead of the upcoming National elections. 

Party sources said, the Awami League President will start her party's election campaign from Sylhet on December 20.
 
She will formally launch the election campaign after offering ziarat at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Hazrat Shah Paran (R). Notably, before every parliamentary election, the Awami League starts its election campaign in Sylhet. 

Awami League presidium member advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak attended the representatives' meeting as the chief guest held at a convention center here this afternoon.

Nanok called upon the party leaders and workers to work together to make Sheikh Hasina's public meeting in Sylhet a grand success.

Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League President Masuk Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting while Awami League presidium member Jebunnesa Haque, joint general secretary Mahbub Ul-Alam Hanif, foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Sheikh Helal, Organizing Secretary Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, member Dr. Mushfiq Hossain Chowdhury, Azizus Samad Azad Don, Sylhet District Awami League President Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary Professor Zakir Ahmad and Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury spoke it, among others.

District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Nasir Uddin Khan moderated the representatives meeting.
