DHAKA, Dec 13, 2023 (BSS) - There will be no bar from the Election Commission (EC) if anyone holds peaceful rallies or meetings after taking home ministry's permission, said election commissioner Md Alamgir.

"We don't have any say if anyone holds peaceful meetings and rallies after taking permission from the government. But any programme that can hamper the process of election cannot be allowed," he told a press conference at Agargaon Nirbachan Bhaban here.

As per the electoral code of conduct, if anyone tries to obstruct electoral process it will be offence, he said, adding that so, anti-election activities won't be allowed.
