TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Dec 16, 2023 (BSS) - Marking the great Victory Day, a
delegation of the central working committee of Awami League (AL) today paid
rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by
placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

Led by Awami League presidium member Lt. Col. (retd) Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP,
and executive committee member of central working committee of AL Abul Hasnat
Abdullah, MP, the delegation placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara this
morning.
 
After laying the wreath, they stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark
of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and
other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

A special prayer was offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina and her family members.

Gopalganj District Awami League President Mahbub Ali Khan, Tungipara Upazila
Awami League President Abul Basar Khair, its General Secretary Md. Babul
Sheikh, Muksudpur Upazila Awami League President Rabiul Alam Sikdar, its
General Secretary Saidur Rahman Tutul, Tungipara Municipality Mayor Sheikh
Tozammel Haque Tutul and a large number of leaders and workers of Awami
League and allied organization, among others, were present.
