DHAKA, Dec 16, 2023 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin

Chaudhury today paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War by
placing a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar on the outskirts of the
capital marking the 53rd Victory Day.

After placing the wreath, she stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark
of profound respect to the memories of the martyrs of the Great War of
Liberation in 1971.

The Speaker later placed another wreath at the portrait of the Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of Bangabandhu Memorial
Museum in city's Dhanmondi Road No. 32 to pay homage to the architect of the
independent Bangladesh.
