DHAKA, Dec 18, 2023 (BSS)- Awami League candidate in Dhaka -8 constituency A F M Bahauddin Nasim today urged the voters to cast their votes for ‘boat’ to continue the ongoing progress of the country.

Nasim said this at an election campaign organized this afternoon by Swadhibandha Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) and Dhaka Medical College doctors and staff nurses and officials and employees.

Bahauddin Nasim, also joint general secretary of the party said, countrymen would elect Sheikh Hasina again as she is the champion of changing Bangladesh towards development.

“Farmers, labourers, common people of the country are the passengers of the ‘nowka’ (boat) and the captain of this boat is Deshratna Sheikh Hasina, who can change our destiny. She is the symbol of our hope,” he said.

 “The next Jatiya Sangsad Elections will be held on January 7, 2024. The election train is running fast as the election commission distributed election symbol today,” Nasim said.

Bahauddin Nashim said Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has uplifted Bangladesh with dignity. She is working to change the fate of 16 crore people of this country.

He said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is struggling to establish good governance. “We have to stand beside her for all times to face all evil forces,” he said.

Bahauddin Nashim said Awami League depends on the strength of 16 crore people. Awami League has earned independence and always fighting for protecting the spirit and values of the liberation war.

“I want your vote and doa to make sure the win of Sheikh Hasina in the coming election. I assure you to work as a public servant if I can win over,” Nasim said,

Dhaka Medical College Teachers Association President Professor Dr Debesh Chandra Talukdar chaired the programme, while secretary general of the Swachip Md Kamrul Hasan Milon was present.
