DHAKA, Dec 21, 2023 (BSS) -Laila Shameem Ara, wife of State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque, passed away. She was 70.
Shameem Ara breathed her last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in India on Wednesday night, said a press release signed by AL office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua.

She left behind husband, a son and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.

Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Shameem Ara.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family member.
