RAJSHAHI, Dec 24, 2023 (BSS)- A specialized kidney hospital is going to be

established in the city for welfare of the patients suffering from kidney and
other relevant diseases.

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and Sonar Bangla Foundation (SBF) signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the city Bhaban conference hall today in
order to establish the RCC-SBF Kidney and Specialized Hospital.

RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and SBF Chief Operating Officer Hosney Ara
Begum signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.

The RCC will hand over its Hetemkha Urban Health Centre to SBF for launching
the hospital.
 
In the preliminary stage, the hospital will provide low-cost modern kidney
dialysis services.

Subsequently, ultramodern multistoried buildings will be constructed there
for delivering services of kidney transplant and other healthcares.

The hospital activities will be conducted through a management committee
consisting of representatives from both the RCC and SBF sides.
