DHAKA, Dec 24, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak today urged people to cast their vote in favor of AL's election symbol 'boat'.

"The upcoming general election is for the protection of democracy and sovereignty of the country," he said.

He told journalists during his election campaign at different areas of Dhaka-13 constituency.

Hoping that the people will cast their vote in favor of AL as they want to keep the country's development spree continue, he said, "The countrymen will cast their vote for Awami League spontaneously."

Nanak said the upcoming general election will be held in a free, fair and neutral manner in the country under the election commission.
 
AL leader Nanak urged all to be united under the leadership of AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for resisting any kind of plots of those who are trying to thwart the upcoming polls.

Dhaka city north unit of AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and organizing secretary Azizul Haque Rana, among others, were present.
