DHAKA, Dec 27, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina has
pledged to involve the youth in the transformation and development of
Bangladesh with the slogan "The Power of Youth- Prosperity of Bangladesh".

"If Awami League is elected, the youth will be involved in the transformation
and development of Bangladesh. Employment opportunities will be expanded for
work-worthy, qualified youth," she said while declaring the AL's election
manifesto in a city hotel today ahead of the 12th national elections slated
for January 7.

She said self-employment will be arranged in the village to reduce the
tendency of the village youth to move towards the city.

As many as 31 lakh youth will be trained in the district and upazila levels
and the programme will continue supporting their self-employment, she added.
