DHAKA, Dec 27, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today said the BNP is hatching conspiracy to foil the upcoming 12th general election and the countrymen will resist if they hatch any kind of conspiracy against the nation.

"BNP wants to destroy the country's democracy and development through carrying out subversive activities," Nasim told a view-exchange meeting with Swadhinata Chikitshak Parishad (SWACHIP) at the auditorium of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

He also said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced her party's electoral manifesto to reach the progress and growth of the country to a unique height.

"The manifesto was placed with a view to making the country as a developed one," he said, adding AL wants to make a smart Bangladesh within 2041 under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.

Nasim pledged that he would make Dhaka-8 as a terrorism and drug-free area, if people of the constituency elect him.

Later, he conducted campaign in different areas of Dhaka-8.
