DHAKA, Dec 28, 2023 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today said those, who are not patriotic ones and do not believe in the country's independent, should be resisted.
"AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina continues her fight against terrorism and corruption and she is our last resort of trust," he told a view-exchange meeting, organised by Muktijuddher Chetonay Sangbadik Forum, at the Jatiya Press Club here.
Nasim sought vote for boat to continue the country's development spree.
He said market syndicates have emerged and there are many loan defaulters and money launders in the country who are trying to create crisis here.
But, he said, all of them will have to be resisted.
About the journalist's demand, Nasim said if the AL government is elected again, it will take steps to resolve all the problems and hardship they have been facing now.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her election manifesto on Wednesday announced that the formation process of 10th wage board for journalists is underway now.
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) former president Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Jatiya Press Club president Farida Yesmin, its general secretary Shyamal Dutta, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) president Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo and former president of DUJ Kuddus Afrad, among others, spoke at the meeting with Daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury in the chair.
Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) president Sohel Haider Chowdhury conducted it.
