DHAKA, Jan 2, 2024 (BSS) - Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commenced from 9am on today.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places over the country. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt due to thick fog.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2)oC over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and it may rise slightly over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Day temperature may fall slightly over the country. Due to thick fog, cold day condition may prevail at places over the country.

Country's highest temperature on Monday was recorded 29.5 degree celsius at Sitakunda and the lowest temperature today was recorded 09.0degree celsius at Sayedpur.

Ridge of sub continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending it's trough to North Bay.
