CHATTOGRAM, Jan 3, 2024 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AL Ranguniya upazila unit president Freedom Fighter Sirazul Islam Chowdhury.
 
In a message of condolence, the minister said Sirazul Islam served in different positions of the AL upazila unit and did politics from his student life with the spirit of the Liberation War and ideals of Bangabandhu.

He will ever be remembered for his contribution to social works in the area, he added.
 
Dr Hasan prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
 
Sirazul Islam died of old-age complications at his residence in Ranguniya in the early hours of today.
 
He was 82.
