DHAKA, Jan 4, 2024 (BSS) - Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed today visited and inspected the activities of army in Jashore, Savar and Dhaka, who were deployed under 'In Aid to the Civil Power' on the occasion of the 12th parliamentary election scheduled to be held on Sunday.

During the visit, he witnessed the activities of the deployed army personnel and exchanged views with on duty army personnel and provided them with necessary guidance, said a press release of the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).

The army has been deployed across the country since yesterday (January 3) to provide assistance to the civil administration under the 'In Aid to the Civil Power' in the 12th parliamentary election, the release added.
