DHAKA, Jan 5, 2024 (BSS) - Two platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Sandwip island of Chattogram to maintain peace and law and order during the upcoming 12th national elections to be held on Sunday.

The BGB will work as a mobile and striking force to maintain peace and discipline 'In Aid to the Civil Power' to support the local civil administration, a BGB press release said here today.
