KHULNA, Jan 9, 2024 (BSS) - The 55th Infantry division of Bangladesh Army

today distributed warm clothes and provided healthcare services among the
poor and destitute people here.

On behalf of the Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, General
Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Jashore
Major General Mohammad Mahbubur Rashid distributed the winter clothes among
1,000 distressed cold-stricken people and provided health services and
medicines free of cost to the common people at Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser
Stadium in Khulna, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press
release.

They also distributed sports materials among the students of different school
and colleges and performed various social welfare activities, the release
added.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) expressed optimism that the 55 Infantry
Division will continue such public service activities in the future.

Senior Officers of the Infantry Division and local Dignitaries were present,
among others, on the occasion.
