DHAKA, Jan 18, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam has sought media support in ensuring fair and logical price of essential commodities from grower to consumer levels.

He sought the cooperation during a view-exchange meeting with Bangladesh Online News Portal Association at the ministry conference room here today.

"We want to work in unison with all ministries and other stakeholders to control price of commodities. Role Media is very significant here," he said urging media to maintain accuracy in presenting any information.

Association's president Mollah Amzad Hossain, general secretary Shahin Chowdhury, joint secretary Siddiqur Rahman and Ashraful Kabir, vice-president Soumitra Deb, treasurer Mostakim Sarkar, executive members Rafiqul Basar, Hamid Mohammad Jasim and Mohsin Hossain were present.

The state minister also sought media cooperation in preventing any disinformation campaigning.
