CUMILLA, Jan 20, 2024 (BSS) - Prime Minister's Adviser Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury today urged students to groom themselves for building a Smart Bangladesh envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"Students are the driving force for building 'Smart Bangladesh'. We need smart, skilled manpower, smart economy, smart government and smart society. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to build Bangladesh this way," he said.
Kamal Chowdhury said this while exchanging views with students at a function at Bijoy Kara School and College field under Chauddagram Upazila of Cumilla district.
In his speech, Kamal Chowdhury said the government wants to build the young generation as skilled manpower.
"The government wants to take Bangladesh towards development and prosperity. That will be the Smart Bangladesh," he added.
The adviser called upon the teachers to give lessons with more sincerity so that the students could acquire the required skills for turning the country into a smart one.
"I hope today's young generation will be the leaders of future Bangladesh," he said.
Secretary of the Security Services Division of the Home Ministry Md Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury and President of the Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) Syed Moazzam Hossain spoke on the occasion, among others.
