DHAKA, Jan 21, 2024 (BSS) - Gulshan-Banani Sarbajanin Puja Foundation has distributed stipend among first year students of different universities, medical colleges and vocational institutions in the city.

Under a scholarship programme of the foundation, 80 first year honors students including of Dhaka University (DU) were given the stipends for 2024 at a function here on Saturday, which is renewable one, a press release said here today.

DU Jagannath Hall provost Prof Mihir Lal Saha was present at the function as the chief guest with Gulshan-Banani Sarbajanin Puja Foundation president Panna Lal Dutta in the chair.

Foundation's general secretary Pran Krishna Ghosh conducted the ceremony while its former presidents Kanutoush Majumder, Subal Chandra Saha and Dilip Das Gupta, and convener of the Stipend Subcommittee JL Bhoumik and member secretary Chaitanya Kumar Dey Chayan were present.
