DHAKA, Jan 21, 2024 (BSS) - Social Welfare Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said that everyone should come forward for social services work and have to devote ourselves to build the country by applying knowledge and skills.

"The government employees to serve the people with knowledge, skills and service mentality" she said while addressing as the chief guest an inaugural function of the basic training course at the National Academy of Social Service at Agargaon in the capital today.

Dipu Moni said the officials should be able to build Smart Bangladesh in the future. The government is looking into financial soundness and everyone should focus on it.

The mindset of service should be built keeping ethics in mind. It is not possible to build a smart Bangladesh alone, everyone must work together. Everyone has to work hard for that. If necessary, stand by the side of people, she added.

Social welfare secretary Md. Khairul Alam Shiekh was present as special guest while Director General of Department of Social Service Dr. Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal presided over the function.
