DHAKA, Jan 25, 2024 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today said the BNP has plunged into despair by their failed movement.

"BNP-Jamaat killed people and launched arson attacks on vehicles in the name of movement," he told a function on 'Probin and Kormohato Sangbadik Kallayan Parishad' at Johur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the Jatiya Press Club here.
 
Nasim said BNP has isolated from the people due to their terrorist activities in the country.

The AL leader also said Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly for the people's welfare. The journalist-friendly Prime Minister loves newsmen as her father worked as a journalist for some time, Nasim added.

With president of the organization AKM Karam Ali in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by Jatiya Press Club General Secretary Shyamal Dutta, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) President Sohel Haider Chowdhury and its General Secretary Akhter Hossain and vice president Manik Lal Ghosh and Journalist Mofizur Rahman Khan Babu.
