BRAHMANBARIA, Jan 27, 2024 (BSS) - Minister for Law, justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anisul Huq here today said it will be good for the country if the Upazila Parishad election is held without party symbol.

He said the people of the country want to engage in Upazila Parishad election without party symbol. "That is why Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has decided not to nominate any candidate with the symbol boat for the upcoming election" he added. 

He said these while responding to the journalists after inaugurating a building for the Jahanara Haque Public Library in Kasba of the district.

Secretary for the Law Ministry Golam Sarwar, Kasba Upazila Parishad Chairman advocate Rashedul Kowser Bhuiyan and Kasba Municipality Mayor Golam Haqqani accompanied the minister.
