DHAKA, Jan 28, 2024 (BSS) - With sincere efforts of the Power, Energy And Mineral Resources Ministry, Sylhet Gas Fields Limited today found 157 billion cubic feet of natural gas at Rashidpur well-2.
 
According to the ministry, 80 lakh cubic feet of gas can be supplied from this gas well per day to the national grid within the next 10 days.

The price of 157 billion cubic feet of gas which can be extracted from the well, is Tk 10,670 crore.
 
"We hope that we will bring more good news for Bangladesh in the future as the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave priority to oil and gas exploration," said state minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on his verified facebook page.
