DHAKA, Jan 30, 2024 (BSS) - Member of Awami League's cultural affairs subcommittee and actor Aslam Shihir passed away at his residence in the capital this afternoon. He was 58.

Shihir, who was suffering from cancer, left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Aslam, cultural affairs secretary of Meherpur district Awami League.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
