DHAKA, Feb 1, 2024 (BSS) - Shikdar Abu Bakkor Siddik, General Secretary of Kachua upazila Awami League unit of Bagerhat district, passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital in the early hours of today.

He was 66.

Abu Bakkor is survived by wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and admirers.

AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Abu Bakkor Siddik.

In a condolence message, the AL General Secretary prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
