DHAKA, Feb 1, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Simeen Hussain (Rimi) today called for raising children smartly to build a smart Bangladesh in coming days.

"We have to think in a new way to create new guidelines for raising children. With better human qualities, smart children will build smart Bangladesh," she said.

Simeen, also Awami League (AL) Presidium Member, said these while inaugurating the Bridging Leadership Initiative of Early Childhood Development (ECD)'s Integrated Community Based Center for Child Care, Protection and Swim-Safe Facilities Project at a city hotel here as chief guest, a press release said.

She hoped that the newly inaugurated project will create employments for women at the community level side by side helping children develop mentally and physically.

With Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Nazma Mobarek in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Chair and Founder at a global organization named 'Synergos' Peggy Dulany as special guest.

On the same day, the state minister also inaugurated a Pitha Uthsab held at the initiative of the entrepreneurs of Joyeeta Women at Rapa Plaza in city's Dhanmondi area.
