Palak stresses on technical skills to make youths suitable for future

  DHAKA, Sept 13, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today emphasized on technical skills to make the youth society suitable for the future with technical skills.

   "Young people and the youth society are the driving force of development. There is no alternative to information technology related skills to make them suitable for the future," he said.

   The state minister made the remarks while virtually addressed the inaugural function of an event titled 'Seeds for the Future 2021' organized by Huawei Technologies Bangladesh Limited, said a press release.

   Every technological step undertaken and implemented by the government has ensured the democratization in the country, Palak said, adding the digital technologies have been used simultaneously to make government services easier and smoother.

   Noting that the government has already digitalized about 1232 services under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and at the directives of her ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the state minister said, "We are working to digitize more 800 services by this year (2021)".

   Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) VC Professor Dr Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Head of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department Dr Mohammad Rubaiyat Tanvir Hossain and Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited Chief Executive Officer Zhang Zhengjun addressed the function, among others.
