KHULNA, Feb 4, 2024 (BSS)-Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda has said that the quality education can turn the students into expert human resources.
The Minister made this remark while addressing a prize giving ceremony of the annual sports and literature and cultural competition of Govt. Shahpur Madhugram College at Dumuria upazila here yesterday as chief guest.
“Every child is an extraordinary talent by birth and grow up with his own talent and importance should be given to new curriculum-based child education along with technical knowledge,” the minister said adding that students can turn into smart and expert human resources by getting the standard education.
Education is necessary to be enlightened. Better relationships with respect between teachers and students should be built up with a view to making future leaders who will lead the country in order to be listed in the developed countries of the world, he said.
Side by side with studies and sports are essential to build sound health, he said adding that sports keep the students away from crime and drugs.
Jibon Kumar Karmakar, Principal of Govt. Shahpur Madhugram College presided over the prize giving ceremony while Dumuria Upazila Parishad Chairman Gazi Ejaz Ahmed addressed as special guest.
Among others, Vice-Principal of Govt. Shahpur Madhugram College Md Faruk Alam, female vice chairman of Dumuria Shamima Parvin Ruma, Assistant Commissioner (Land) SM Ashish Momtaz, Freedom fighter Alomgir Kabir, Ex-Principal of Professor Aminur Rahman, General Secretary of Teachers’ Association G M Ashraful Islam, Dr. Din Mohammad Khoka, also spoke.
Later, the minister distributed prizes and crests among the meritorious students and the winners of sports competition.
